About Carrie
Growing up as a ballet dancer and lover of all things dance, I developed an interest in the human body at a young age, specifically the body’s anatomy, resilience, and capacity to heal. It wasn’t until my early teens, when I had a personal experience with a progressive case of scoliosis, that I developed a passion for learning how to heal others. This passion lead me to pursue a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy, my Pilates certification, and eventually my Schroth SSOL Certification. My goal is to help people be rid of pain, get in touch with their physical well being, and become a partner in creating their strongest self.
I currently serve the capital region as an orthopedic and Schroth Physical Therapist as well as a Pilates instructor. My professional passions are in dance medicine, treating patients with scoliosis/kyphosis, and integrating Pilates into my treatment. My personal passions are many and include of course dance and Pilates, but I also love cooking, golf, skiing, running, reading, singing, and paddle boarding.
Dance Medicine Background
My clinical work with CT Dance Physical Therapy, Westside Dance PT, NYC Ballet, and School of American Ballet has had a huge impact on my approach to caring for artists and high level athletes. I currently teach dance conditioning classes at the Dance Lab in Saratoga Springs, offer weekly PT services at Skidmore College’s Dance Department and provide a dance medicine workshop series at Saratoga City Ballet.
